Children Right to Sight, Cairo

Monday, September 25, 2023

The aim of this initiative is to enable a global grant to benefit disadvantaged children in Cairo and to prevent blindness early in life. We are committed to giving every child the right to see and thus creating the basis for an independent life.

Our efforts focus on providing affected children with access to medical procedures and surgeries, as their families often have no or very limited access to healthcare.

Currently only 15 operations are being carried out because the main sponsor in Cairo is no longer able to support the initiative. Our ambitious goal for this project is to perform a total of 700 eye surgeries on children per year. Each operation requires around 5000-20000 EGP, which is roughly equivalent to CHF 140-570.

Our club has already pledged CHF 5,000. However, to meet the requirements for a Global Grant we must reach a minimum amount of $30,000.

It is critical that we intensify our efforts and seek additional donors and supporters to reach the total required budget of $30,000. With a strong commitment and support from our community, we rely on support and donations to ensure that the Children Right to Sight initiative is successfully implemented and that disadvantaged children have access to vital eye surgery. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to realizing our vision of giving every child the right to see and live independently.

We would be happy to provide you with further information and would be happy to set up a video call between your club and ours to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for your kind contribution:
